Welcome to Rootz (“Rootz”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rootz web application (the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you should not create an account or use the Service.
Rootz provides individuals with a digital tool to create, manage, and visualise family genealogical trees using information you voluntarily submit.
The Service is provided free of charge.
To use Rootz, you must:

To use the features of Rootz, you require an account.
You are responsible for:
Rootz is not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from your failure to safeguard account credentials.
You may submit genealogical information including names, relationships, dates, locations, and notes (“User Content”).
You retain full ownership of all User Content you submit.
Rootz does not claim ownership of your data.
By submitting User Content, you grant Rootz a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to store, process, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service.

All personal data is handled in accordance with the Rootz Privacy Policy, which explains:

You agree not to misuse Rootz, including by:
Rootz reserves the right to restrict or terminate access for misuse of the Service.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within a reasonable timeframe.
Backup copies may exist temporarily for technical or security purposes.
All software, design, branding, and underlying technology of Rootz remain the intellectual property of Rootz.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the Service without permission.
Rootz is provided “as is” and “as available”.
Rootz makes no guarantees regarding:
Use of Rootz is at your own discretion and risk.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited as required by applicable law.
Rootz may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if the Service is misused.
You may stop using Rootz at any time.
Rootz may update these Terms from time to time.
Updated Terms will be posted within the Service or on the Rootz website.
Continued use of Rootz after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles.
